Good Pizza, Great Pizza and the Real Life Wombo Combo

The fresh pizza ingredients from Tony Baloney’s included in the press kit.

Originally, I had planned to incorporate PM Studios’ amazing press kit in my review for Good Pizza, Great Pizza. However, when it came to actually writing the review I realised that there just was not enough space to talk about the press kit in the detail that it actually deserved and so that is how this post came to fruition.

Let me tell you right now. The press kit for PM Studios’ Good Pizza, Great Pizza is quite unlike any press kit that I have ever received in my life. I knew that the press kit was coming sometime in the future and I knew that it had a shirt inside of it. Nothing prepared me for what I saw when I opened the rather heavy box.

Kneading the pizza dough.

Upon opening, I was immediately met with the smell of tomato and even though you as the reader will obviously see where this is going – I had no idea! I was confused -I did not realise it was the press kit for Good Pizza, Great Pizza- and hastily opened the contents. Inside the cool section of the box there was an assortment of white plastic containers that held a range of gourmet pizza ingredients. Pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, fresh pizza dough, olive oil, sauce, mushrooms and basil. There was enough to make four separate pizzas. I have made pizza before but I have always bought the bases. This was the first time that I had ever rolled out the dough myself and it became a fun family experience that my three-year-old daughter very enthusiastically participated in.

A little bit cheesy.

Kneading the dough and getting it ready took a surprising amount of work; especially when the three-year-old was in charge. However we managed to create four interestingly shaped pizzas! Because there was so much we had one pizza for my in-laws to choose the toppings for, one for my husband, one for my daughter and one for myself. Choosing toppings is always the most exciting part in my experience and this was no exception. Baking them was a breeze on our pizza stones and when it came to taste them – they were delicious! The consensus that evening was that not only was the experience a lot of fun but the pizza tasted incredible. The pizza was from Tony Boloney’s – check them out! The ingredients were delivered through Goldbelly. They are really interesting as they connect places such as Tony Boloney’s with anyone in the United States of America. It does not have to be local. What a fantastic way to support smaller restaurants and you can be assured that we will be ordering through Tony Boloney’s ourselves in the future.

Ready to go into the oven!

As amazing as the pizza was, the press kit included more than that! It also came with stickers, information about Goldbelly, pizza making instructions, a digital download code for Good Pizza, Great Pizza on the Nintendo Switch and an incredibly comfortable Good Pizza, Great Pizza shirt that I love to wear.

Non-pizza contents included in the Good Pizza, Great Pizza press kit.

All in all, I want to thank everyone involved in the creation of this press kit as it brought so much joy not only to myself but to my whole family. The joy on my three-year-olds face as she made her own pizza was absolutely priceless. I have never received a press kit that was as amazing this and I will always treasure the memories created from it. Thank you PM Studios!
