Unboxing Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Collector’s Edition

It happened! It happened! My Stormblood was delivered to my PO Box this morning. I was so incredibly excited to pick it up that I skipped on breakfast, piled my newborn in the car and went to grab it.

It came in a huge box and I was so anxious to open it. I still can’t play it due to not having a TV set up at present but I can marvel at the beautiful box in the mean time.

The front of the box had the amazing artwork that we had seen earlier on. The bottom right of the front of the box has a sticker for the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series which I thought was a nice touch. The back indicates the contents inside.

I was surprised to see just how gold the actual box was. As always the artwork is absolutely stunning.

The first items that I pulled out of the box were the art book and the game itself. I always love art books. They are one of my favourite things about collectors editions. I find it fascinating to see concept art and the process of creating the final characters, world, items and other important aspects of the game.

The cloth map was bigger than I expected and I definitely want to find somewhere to display it. The sticker is cool but I never use them so will just keep it sealed indefinitely.

The number one reason I wanted the collector’s was because of this statue. I was so impressed when I took it out of the box. The detail in the clothing is so pretty! I can not wait to display it on my shelf.

Well that’s everything included in the collector’s edition. I can’t wait to be able to jump in and play the game. Red Mage looks amazing and I think that’s where I am going to start. I have been very eager for this for a long time!
