Welp. I always want so many games and I don’t have the time to play them. E3 is that time of year where I always want to preorder more and more so I figured I would have a look and see what I already had!
The Last Guardian (PS4)
I have been openly hyped for this game for a long time. Since the first launch trailer I was hooked! I enjoyed ICO and Shadow of the Colossus so my love for The Last Guardian is already immense. I had no doubt that it would release and wasn’t vapourware and I even remember the prayer..
Our Fumito, who art in Japan,
Hallowed be The Last Guardian.
Thy release come.
Thy game be done
On PS4, as it is on PS3.
Give us this day our announcement trailer,
And forgive us our GIFs,
As we forgive those who GIF against us.
Lead us not into anticipation,
But deliver us a street date.
For thine is the Ico,
The Shadow, and the Colossus,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon (3DS)
I have loved Pokemon for as long as I remember. It was such an amazing part of my childhood. From trading people at school, to drawing fanart, to collecting the PokeDex with my cousin and much more. Pokemon spawned so many new friendships in my life. I still love it today and I preordered the games. I will play one and my husband will play the other. Originally I was Team Sun but I donno. It’s just a hard call so early. I am 100% Team Litten though. Can never go wrong with the fire starter.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (PS4)
The name made me laugh when it was first announced but it wasn’t enough to put me off. It’s even kind of catchy now. I’ve had a bit of a blackout in regards to SO news. It definitely looks like fun. Also like something that I won’t even have enough time to play. Oops!
Final Fantasy XV (PS4 and XBO)
I had this preordered when it was still Versus XIII. Out of all of the games in the universe the darker theme of Versus appealed to me. Over the last decade I held onto that hype and now I am very, very excited that is is real. We are buying it on both platforms so that we can play it at the same time. Definitely no way we could share a copy or even a console.
No Man’s Sky (PS4)
No Man’s Sky looks absolutely beautiful. The colourful graphics are what initially stood out for me. I can’t wait to sit back and explore the vastness of NMS. I am actually glad for the delay because I will have more time to put into it now that the release date is later on in the year.
Song of the Deep (PS4)
Admittedly, it was the fact that the collector’s edition was really cheap that led me to preorder Song of the Deep. Nevertheless I am glad that I did as it looks like it could be a lot of fun. I need a break from serious grindfest games and I feel like this could potentially be an option.
Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book (PS4)
I love the Atelier games. I bought Rorona way back when and have bought all of them since. I feel like I kind of miss the time management element but the games are charming enough that I am happy to be immersed in a more carefree way!
Final Fantasy XII (PS4)
I can never say no to Final Fantasy. This remaster in particular is appreciated by me as I never finished the game on PS2. Now I finally have a reason to pick it up again! I hope it is as good as everyone says it is!
I also have four games on layby that I have been meaning to pick up but haven’t had the time to do so yet. These are The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with the Amiibo, Fire Emblem Special Edition, Kirby: Planet Robobot and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel.
I can only imagine what E3 will do to my preorder list! Bring it on!
